Java Fix a Chess Rule - 15/11/2017 13:07 EST

I have a java project, there are classes for every chess pieces and a chessmove main class which implements also a linked list. This class (Chessmove) takes a text as an input and produces an output text. Each line of the input is a chessboard like this [login to view URL] and some potential moves In the output text, each line says if each line of the input was legal or illegal. I can send you a pdf that explains this and I can send you sample inputs and their expected outputs. I need someone to make this fix: In the ChessMove class in the performActions function there is a while loop that runs through all the linked list. I want you there to check if there is a piece between the current location of a piece and its destination and if it is it should output illegal. I'll just use rook as an example. Lets say rook is on 1 1 trying to move to 1 8. In this case, the rook is trying to move from row 1 to 8. To check if something is blocking, you must go thru your list of chesspiece and do some comparisons. Lets say you have list of size i. For ith chesspiece, check if its in same col. If not, then that piece isnt blocking. If it is, then check if that piece's row is higher than the piece you are moving's row but less than the location you tryna move's row. Something like that. Gotta go thru all your pieces
