Data acquiring and cleaning

We have different data sources (CSV, Excel, API, XML feeds, Web scraping etc.) from where data has to be retrieved and cleaned. Further analysis will be required after data is cleaned.
I felt a need to add a little further detail to the requirements.
- We need programming skills in R with working knowledge of interfacing/parsing webpage data (with authentication), XML and HTML parse, using APIs with data in JSON and AJAX, and SQL (not sure what kind of SQL yet...)
- Analysis is not part of the scope yet, as specific algorithms are still being worked out.
- Deliverables will include; interface with data sources (in many case needing authentication), cleaning up data (which might take up bulk of the time if you are good at the interface), and generating a codebook which provides step-by-step account of how you went about doing the job in a clear, simple fashion so that the job can be recoded, if need be.
