Wordpress plugin development/modification

Hi all Thanks for viewing this job. A plugin needs to be written that would allow for a shortcode to be inserted anywhere on a wordpress/woocommerce website. What this shortcode would do is to go through all products and its variations and if they are on sale, it will display them in the same manner that the theme displays its products. So basically this shortcode at the moment will be used on the Special Offers/Sale page. The setup that we have in the woocommerce shop is that there are more than a dozen products but lot of them have product variations which are basically different colours. The current theme very easily allows us to pick up products that are on sale but instead of displaying only the variants that are on sale, it simply displays the full product details there which can be very confusing for the visitor. What we want is that only those product variations are displayed that are on sale and the visitor can then click to go to that product variation page. I already have a plugin purchased that does this but not the sale part. Basically this plugin takes all products and their variations and displays all variations separately on our product page, search page etc but it cannot be filtered to display only variations on sale. Now I come from an extensive .net development background which involves working as an Asp.net developer for around 10 years. I was hoping that since this is no biggie, there must be already so many plugins doing this but surprisingly I couldn’t find any. I had started working on developing my own plugin but instead have decided to post this job here since I don’t have much experience in php. I am certainly looking for someone who knows his way around Wordpress plugins and really knows the standard & recommended way of working. I am sure that if I spend a day I can hack something together but I don’t want a hacky solution as it would become a pain to maintain :) For the right person, this is probably even less than an hour’s job. I can also supply you the code of the standard plugin that does this for every product and also the code for what I have written, as these can save your time & efforts from writing from scratch.
