I have a software program that accesses data in a DBF file. This DBF file is output by a restaurant Point of Sale system. There is an issue with the DBF file. When an item is sold in the Point of Sale system, a new row is added to the DBF file with the date and time of the sale. For example, if an item is sold June 18th at 9:20pm , the file will show: 6/18/18 21:20:00
There is a problem with the time date for sales after midnight. If the sale is after midnight, the date isn't changing. For example, assume we have a sale three hours later at 12:20am. The file will show 6/18/18 instead of 6/19/18. In other words, it will show 6/18/18 00:20:00 instead of 6/19/18 00:20:00.
I need a simple program that will automatically advance the date by one day for entries between midnight and 5am. In other words, every time the file is updated with a new row, the program will check the time written in the row, and if it's between 00:00:00 and 05:00:00 it will automatically re-write the date.
I'll give a 10 rating for good work.
Thanks
