Help to update php to 5.6 or php 7 (Ubuntu)

I have a problem as I updated my php version to 5.6 from 5.5. Server: PHP version: 5.5. I have done the following steps: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install php5.6 php5.6-mbstring php5.6-mcrypt php5.6-mysql php5.6-xml sudo a2dismod php5 sudo a2enmod php5.6 sudo service apache2 restart It is not working and still shows the 5.5 version
