EXPERT ADVISOR: Social media web scraping Python programmer needed -- 2

THE PROJECT Social media web scraper written in Python already written but not yielding the volume of results needed. Currently Python programmer has done a valiant job but needs expert advice from someone more experienced. YOUR ROLE We are looking for advice on different web scraping techniques we may have overlooked. Our existing programmer will implement. Your role will be to advise on the correct techniques needed to yield greater volumes of targeted data rather than do the programming yourself. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: * Direct experience scraping social media websites at a volume of 1 million records every 8 weeks * 5 years Python experience PROJECT PROCESS You will be given read-only access to the code and the necessary time to review it in total. We expect that to be 8 hours of solid code review. Once fully reviewed, you'll work with our programmer and advise what improvements can be made to the algorithms to give larger volumes of data. The advice will be ongoing as the improvements are implemented to ensure that our programmer has access to the necessary guiding expertise. PROJECT TIMELINE We expect it will take 8 hours to properly review the code. We then expect that the successful candidate will be available for 1 hour daily at a predetermined time to meet with the programmer and the relevant team to review strategic progress. WARNING Because this is a strategy project advisory role, strong English verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Candidates without this will be immediately excluded from the process. We are not looking for basic web scraping services or people without social media scraping expertise. We are not looking for agencies.
