Add functionality to existing Magento 2 extension

I've got a custom extension that adds blog functionality to a Magento e-commerce site. Blog posts are separate from a product, and have their own unique listing.
When editing a post, I need help with adding a sortable list of items, with "Add new" and "remove" buttons, that in turn will render the list in the template in the correct order. A list is unique to every post, and not editable by a user.
