Description:

I am looking to implement a web host that is capable of receiving RTMP streams and displaying them in a Web page for public viewing. This will be hosted on a Google Cloud Platform.

All that is required is the functionality, which is listed under ‘Functional Requirements’ below.

To summarise: A client machine will connect to an RTMP server address which defines our host (after authenticating against the server), then this stream will be outputted dynamically to a webpage (URL’s will be defined by the user).

The base functionality is essentially how UStream Live Broadcasting and Twitch works. The client application is not part of this project.

Developer Skill Requirements:

• Developer experienced in web server development (PHP & Java)

• Experience in developing live-stream solutions

• Experience in Google Cloud platform, specifically Google Compute Engine

Functional Requirements:

• Ability to receive multiple incoming RTMP streams (E.g. Using Red5 on Compute Engine)

• Ability to authenticate user attempting to stream to server

• Ability for clients to connect to the host using a single RTMP address (E.g. rtmp://[url removed, login to view])

• Display incoming RTMP streams on a web page (E.g. using JWPlayer)

• Separate the viewable RTMP streams on different web pages using dynamic URL’s (Done in PHP)

• Google Cloud Platform must support the solution
