Hi, I have around 5 years of experience in web based application. I have already done many similar kind of tasks. I am planning to accomplish this task using jQuery or javascript if targeting page and our code page both are in same domain. if not then we can use wget (which is a command line utility and works with all languages) or some PHP functions. Everything done in php and sql for updating to db cron jobs can be done in python if you prefer and i should tell you that the python cron is the best method for this as you can save a lot through that given the fact of no strenuous computing JS is definitely out because the system would be prone to attacks and the code is bulky and hard for some on budget hosts to execute i have done a similar project as my first project and the customer wanted me to database a given file of a format called SGF after writing a code to read a new file type i can execute this with no issue if you like to go with python it can be created to run in you computer or the host using automated scripts (cron jobs) or else i can make a PHP based one for you which ever you prefer Java script also can be written but highly recommend you to stick to sever side languages for safety and the code is hidden from the eyes of crooks stealing code my bid is $100 + freelance care of $11

I've done many project for extraction already . one of them was about crawling 100,000 weblogs and fetch some information from them . btw i can do this with php or python or any other language. I'll be happy if we could have collaboration together.
