PHP / XML Project

This project involves you writing a PHP script that will manage an XML file. The PHP file needs to allow us to create news posts, edit or delete posts. When each post is entered or edited, we'll also be able to add/edit the end date for the post. This "end-date" will unpublish a news post or hide it from being seen online. This XML file feeds content to a page within a Flash website that displays "news". Don't worry. You don't have to work with Flash or know anything about Flash. Just PHP and XML with a little bit of MySQL knowledge. Here is a live version of the site's new page - [login to view URL] I am attaching the XML file. Before you open it, I'd like you to know that we are not going to be doing anything with lines 1 to line 49 ! This PHP file will only write from line 50 and down. There are several XML nodes that we will use and several that we won't use, however the unused nodes must remain to keep Flash happy. I am attaching two files. One is the XML file and the other is a example image, so you can see what the interface page should look like. When viewing the example image - here are the mapping details Post Title maps to - <header_text> Event Date maps to - <subheader_text> Event Details maps to - <body_text> Small Image maps to - <image> Large Image maps to - <header_image> End Date - Sets the date in which the posting should automatically unpublish The other nodes need to appear in the structure, but do not have to be controlled through the PHP script. Images that are uploaded when creating a new post need to be placed into a directory called /Images/News/ This is a fairly simple project and we're not looking to spend a lot of money. If you're great with PHP, XML and MySQL then please bid. If you're inexperienced and feel that this would take you a lot of time, please don't bid.
