Need the battles to load faster on (www.hotbodybattles.com)

I have a series of websites ([login to view URL] being the main one) The site is built on Joomla. Which is a MySQL query crazy architecture. On the main page (the whole purpose of the site) is the battle page. But it loads too slow to keep my customer's interests. I've gone through the php/html code as much as I possibly could and took out unnecessary queries where I could. But still the page loads too slow after each vote. Simply put, i need someone to make that page load faster. I'm starting to wonder if a php/html page for this game is not the way to go and if the interactions with the database could be built into a flash game or some other such medium to increase performance. All I know is i need the battle page to load faster after each vote. I'm looking for someone to take a test site (exact copy of my other sites) and rewrite the code, or implement some flash sort of game that does the same thing that the site does now, only faster. After each time the user votes for an image, it takes too long for the next set to load because of the mysql queries that joomla does. It's excessive, and even though i'm hosted on my own dedicated server, it's still slow. Bid on the project, and if we talk and i decide you should give it a try, I will give you a test site and a login to my server to recode, and mess with. If you get the battles running faster (to my desired speed) I will go with your redesign and pay you. Unfortunately, I cannot pay for time you spend on this, if you do not produce a faster battle page. I'm just putting that out there so people who are bidding on this know these are my terms. Also whatever is implemented, must be maintainable by me. i.e. i will need instruction on how to rework the flash game, or i would want a briefing paper on what code was changed, added, moved, or deleted. I will also expect the use of comments in the code for later reading. I look forward to your bids. Thank you
