I have 2 personals sites that I would like to set up to either work with paypal or [login to view URL] I do not have a merchant account and a number of programmers have tried setting it up to work with [login to view URL] but to no avail. This is how the personals site is currently set up: A member may register his profile for free, search through other profiles for free, view other members' photos for free and receive replies regarding his profile for free. However, in order to contact a member on the site or to respond to a reply, he must be a paid member. When he becomes a paid member, the "message text box" which are located at the bottom of every profile appears and the paying member may type his message in the text box and press submit. If he is not a paying member, he will see the text which reads "Become a paying member to message other members" instead of the message text box. Once he pays, this text will disappear and a message text box will appear in it's place. I also have a feature which allows me to credit any member with "full membership status" for free if I wish to do so. OPTION 1: Putting the "message text box" behind a password protected system. When a free (non paying) member tries to contact another member, he is taken to [login to view URL] or a similar service which sells him a password to a password protected directory or page which has the "message text box" where he can write a message to the member he wishes to contact. I would also like to have the added feature of being able to credit any member with "full membership status" from my own admin area. I contacted the programmer who wrote this script and she said that this is possible, HOWEVER, it will affect my site in the following manner: - We won't have in our system info about pay date and number of paid days. - So we can't send automatic output messages "xxx days left to the end of your membership" - We can't sent email notifications - We can't for example from admin panel send emails only to full member or only to the free ones. OPTION 2: PayPal Payment System This would not require a great deal of modification to the script. Paypal offers a number of payment/subscription solutions at [login to view URL] but you'll probably need a paypal account to access them. Thank you.
