562716 Quick mySQL fix

My website email responders and automatic databases have stopped working. They were working fine up until 2 days ago. The automatic email responders have stopped working. I used to get notifications through my website to my email about when people ordered/signed up and also a paypal notification. However, these aren't coming through at all. When someone orders something to be sent to their orders status doesn't change on the database either. There are three statuses: new, ordered and sent. When someone orders a package it should switch from new to ordered but it currently just sticks at new. When someone signs up and pays their account should switch to active but it remains at inactive. I don't know what's going on but I'm really hoping for as quick a fix as possible. Really don't think it's a big job, just a few coding tweaks.
