JavaScript Guru Needed

I'm soon starting to hire JavaScript developers and need to quickly and efficiently evaluate a candidate's competency. The aim is to locate those individuals that have ALL of the following: • Excellent knowledge of JS and AJAX, including subtleties regarding performance, cross-browser compatibility, etc. • Strong ability for coming up with solutions to uncommon problems. • Very quick turnaround. I need an automated competency test that a candidate can take in 15-60 minutes and that returns a fairly accurate assessment of the skill level. The test may be taken under supervision, where a staff member ensures that the candidate solves all of the questions on his own. This project will be both for writing the framework for administering the test as well as the actual question composing it. To bid on this job, please mention: 1. What framework will you use? 2. What sort of logic, roughly, will you use for assessing the candidate's performance? 3. A sample question and how you would evaluate responses to it. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete, highly documented, clean, and orderly source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
