Subject: Need updated/reskin of wordpress website. PHP, CSS, HTML, WordPress. We are currently seeking a developer/webdesigner to update our word press website. The site currently resides at www.teamguppykillers.com. The current site is a combination of CSS/HTML skin over a Word Press backend. We are only looking to modify the current look of the website, and maintain the ability to change key items through Word Press. We also intend to continue to improve the website and add in additional features and widgets in the future. We prefer to seek a single developer, but person(s) who hold either of these two skill sets may also apply: 1) Graphic Webdesign , and/or 2) Backend CSS/WordPress programming – as we decide to hire two separate individuals if we find their work to be exceptional. Any individual who is hired and exceeds our expectations can expect future work as we are a growing and business with extensive web design needs. Development companies may apply, but we prefer to work with individuals. We already have a general direction for the front end look of the new website, and files/CSS have been included to show the new direction. General Requirements 1) Candidate should have fair English skills, be reliable and provide regular hours of contact with notifications if the candidate will be unavailable during these hours. 2) Strong and good communications. Ability to grasp objectives, meet budgets and deadlines. Individual should have the ability to execute project objectives without deviation, but also the motivation and initiative to suggest ideas and directions which may further the project objectives. 3) Candidate should be able to work reliably and quickly on projects without supervision. Web Designer Qualifications 1) Any candidate who applies for web design should provide good clean aesthetic work and be familiar with those tools such as Photoshop, etc necessary to provide mock-ups for approval. 2) Basic understanding of web marketing specifically the ability to make any proposed website easy for visitors to find, and display well across most popular platforms. 3) General graphic/web design. 4) Aesthetics are our #1 priority, and all designs should be clean and professional looking. Backend Qualifications 1) Any candidate applying to code the site must be familiar with CSS, WordPress, HTML and have experience in integrating Word Press into a dynamic website. 2) Java programming a plus, but not a requirement. Basic SEO a plus, but not a requirement. 3) All coding must be clean and well documented. We are looking for “pixel perfect” coding so websites look exactly as approved on the mock-up. 4) All coding must be SEO friendly. Overall Project We are looking to modify the current website with the new look, and have this completed in a couple weeks. The general direction of the front page is done, but we would like to integrate additional widgets and information on the front page. The remaining pages should follow the general “look, feel, and style” of the current front page. Web designers will be expected to provide mock-ups of the remaining pages or code these pages and make suggestions for the remaining page layouts. We are open to hourly rate individuals. Any individuals who apply should provide a rough estimate of their total budget necessary to complete this project along with a very brief description of why they feel they are best qualified for this job. Work will start immediately upon acceptance.
