I require a Delphi component written that can be compiled into an ActiveX control and run inside Internet Explorer. The component must use the Internet Explorer API (i.e. WinINet) to get and post HTTP data, and it must be able to do this through any proxy configuration (as defined in the users IE settings). Please see the additional info and sample code. I feel that this is a generous offer for this amount of work and in return we need it done as fast as possible. No extensions will be granted so please only bid if you are experienced in producing this type of component. Of particular concern is also the ability to abort the transfer robustly and free resources. This is so that if IE is closed during a get or post action, IE does not generate any errors. This was a problem with the demo code (provided as a reference). I would suggest that there needs to be a simple method for aborting a transfer state and a second method for freeing all resources when destroying the ActiveX control that the component will be compiled into. I also believe that the component may need to implement a thread to isolate the process from Internet Explorer and add a level of robustness and processor independence. I will also require a status report every two days (just a sentence or so to keep me up-to-date). I can be contacted to help with testing but if you intend to use this option please do not hand over your code at the last minute. Whether you use me to help testing or not, the code must be complete and bug free by the deadline so please keep this in mind. I am willing to take on two seperate developers for this project to ensure the maximum chance of having a perfectly working deliverable at the deadline. Of course if both developers deliver a working component I am happy to pay both. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Saturday Mar 5, 2005 11:57:20 AM: Thank you to all bidders. After careful research I have added some more notes to the bid request, slightly extended the deadline and increased the maximum I wish to spend on this component. Please review the changes and adjust your bid responses if required. I will choose one or two biders on the 9th of March. ## Platform Delphi 7 component that runs on any Windows 98/ME/2000/XP system with Internet Explorer installed. Must be tested to correctly work inside an ActiveX project created using Delphi 7 and run inside Internet Explorer.
