These two software programs need testing

<> Summary We are looking for an experienced software tester to perform quality assurance testing on two very similar pieces of software. The software in question facilitates the estate planning process. Each piece of software has about 35 screens with very simple functionality that need to be tested. You must have several years of experience in testing or software development on a Window platform. You must be extremely detailed oriented and have the ability to clearly communicate your thoughts and findings. And, finally, you must be proactive with the ability to set and meet your own realistic deadlines. <> Testing Requirements You’ll be responsible for testing these two applications for the following: 1. Installation/Un-installation Process ??" Ensure that this process works smoothly and logically on all required operating systems. 2. Usability ??" Ensure that all of the applications functions work appropriately and make any suggestions for improving the interfaces. The interfaces are very simple and intuitive already with only a few options on each page. 3. Typos or Graphical Errors ??" Note any textual or graphical errors. 4. Anything Else ??" Notify us of anything else that needs to be fixed. We would like you to go through each program as a typical user, and follow through by looking for any inconsistencies and output errors. You’ll need to take screen shots of whatever errors you encounter and, beneath each screenshot, include a description of: -how to replicate the error, -specifically what needs to be fixed, -what operating system you used at the time; and, -what screen resolution you used at the time. You’ll need to perform all of the tests listed above on both the following operating systems and screen resolutions: <> Timeline You will have 3 calendar days to complete the initial round of testing. After the bugs you’ve identified have been fixed, you’ll have another 1 calendar day to identify any additional bugs. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
