Purpose is to receive simultaneous socket information and output this to a output file.
The output file is contained (stripped from) the socket information.
a separate filename may or may-not occur each socket information.
the seperator is a " " character ie first space from the left hand side
This job will not be accepted until the below job is completed.
[login to view URL]
the incoming socket information is used as follows
"c:\[login to view URL] abcdefg"
This should write abcdefg to filename "c:\[login to view URL]"
[login to view URL] and the abcdefg are the socket information received.
ie input was done by
telnet [login to view URL] 21 {enter}
"c:\[login to view URL] abcdefg" {enter{
**ini file or gui inputs**
socketport=21 ; port 21
loglevel=2; 2 log all information received
;loglevel=1; logging critical only,
;loglevel=0; no logging at all
logfilename=c:\[login to view URL]
logmaxkb=100; ie trim log if greater than 100kb
;logmaxkb=0; if zero, dont trim
heartbeatfilename=c:\[login to view URL];
heartbeatmaxkb=100 trim log if greater than 100kb, if zero, dont trim
;heartbeatmaxkb=0; if zero, dont trim
heartbeatseconds=60; 60 seconds heartbeat which writes the date and time every x seconds to a heartbeat file.
alarmfile=c:\windows\media\[login to view URL]; this alarms if critical error has occured.
if the inputs are entered via a gui, I want a button to expand/shrink the gui to show settings.
An ini file is also fine. registry is not.
if the file name is not valid, file cant be written, or other error, then this error should be written to the logfile
and the alarm (wave file) sounds. There should be a button to reset the alarm
some sort of gui interface showing incoming socket information would be nice.
mouse realizable again would be nice.
example of socket code is below
[login to view URL]
The code needs to execute as quickly as possible
