Dear candidate,

I need new firmware for MSP430 and Microsoft Windows application software to support communication to the chip.

The system will contain multiple up/down counters (up to 3 for single unit or 6 for double unit) running inside MSP430 chip that is part of eZ430-F2013 (USB Stick). The firmware will react on interrupt from PCF8574PN remote 8-bit I/O expander that reads signals from up to 3 (or 6 for double unit with two PCF8574PN remote 8-bit I/O expanders) linear or rotary encoders (direction/pulse or up pulse/down pulse).

On each ‘change’ of any of counters the associated to that counter LED Display Module will need to be updated but do not try to upload all 6 digits on LED Display Module for each change in the counter. Only the bit that was changed at each digit on the counter needs to be updated on LED Display Module. And if the number of the digit is changing faster then human can possibly detect, the number shell be shown as 8. All zeros in front of first real number (from left to right) on LED Display Module should be turned off but not +/- sign on left-hand corner. The counter reset (after pushing the reset push button) should be shown as no digits with +/- sign on left-hand corner. The counting to zero should be shown as one single zero with +/- sign on left-hand corner. All bids needs to be turned on at the same time on all (3 for single or 6 for double) LED Display Modules should at least last for 5 seconds right after pressing 'Power on/system reset' push button only.

Both ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ push buttons on all LED boards assigned as 'set' and 'reset' for associated counters. I will not need 'holding' feature (when I push and hold the up or down buttons) for all push buttons. The ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ LED’s located right next to push buttons at each LED Display board (of 3 for single and 6 for double system) will indicate the status of ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ push buttons accordingly.

I will appreciate the help.
