I am looking for someone to create a instant messanging program for a LAN, which could be used possibly on a WAN. Its very simple. It is to look and feel quite similar to AOL Instant Messanger. CLIENT SIDE - Away Messages - Shows idle time - shows online/offline users - instead of displaying username, displays the real name stored, also has profiles with e-mail addresses. - password and username system will run off a structure we have already created - ability for users with certain priveledge levels to send messages to all users - some sort of config file with the server that people log into, so therefor it can be used on multiple networks - chat rooms SERVER SIDE - maintains who is online - all the good stuff most IM servers do, such as ability to kill user, delete user, block access if need be, potentially monitor a user, and restore passwords It really doesn't have to be that hard, and you can make quite a bit off of it.
## Deliverables
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
WINDOWS IS A MUST. Linux/Unix would be a great addition, having it portable on those would make us very happy.
## Deadline information
Must be totally tested within 2 months. YOU CAN EITHER GET PAID FOR IT WHEN IT IS DONE, OR YOU CAN DO THE ENTIRE PROJECT FOR A VERY LOW COST, AND WE WILL SELL IT OUT VIA OUR LARGE BUSINESS WHICH HAS MANY CLIENTS, AND YOU WILL PROBABLY MAKE A FEW THOUSAND OFF OF IT. IN THIS CASE, WE WOULD KEEP ONLY 10% OF ALL PROFITS MADE OFF OF YOUR SELLING THE SERVER AS PART OF OUR PACKAGE DEAL.
