TROPICAL FISH COMPATIBILITY SOFTWARE
The purpose of this software will be to allow hobbyists the ability to enter the fish they currently own and help them pick and choose compatible companions for their tank to minimize risk of incompatible danger.
An editable database needs to be created for our company to create a software program we eventually want to sell as a software program one day after we do all the data entry.
I want to develop a software program which will allow me to enter into a database pictures of tropical fish and under a number of criteria such as but not limited to aggressive nature, region, water condition requirements, size of fish, feeding habits, etc.
I may need help along the way as I find new fields to make sure accurate results come up.
FEATURES OF THE SOFTWARE:
• Current Stock listing with detailed information regions like common name, family, species, picture, date of purchase, date of death, place of purchase, tank size, type of décor, etc for record keeping.
• New Stock listing with detailed fields such as common name, family, species, picture, video, water quality requirements (ie . pH, Salinity, Conductivity, Temperature, etc), region species is native to, fish most commonly kept with, aggressive nature score, feeding habit, size, etc.
• A visual bar chart across the top from Green to Red indicating a scoring pattern. If in Green, all species chosen from “new stock list” will get along with “current stock”. As the bar raises to a higher number or towards red status indicates an undesirable or incompatible warning.
• I must have a server side fully editable admin access so I can add all the data for all fish, etc. over time while this software is in beta.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is going to be a distributable software program so the software must check for updates upon opening the software each time, it should offer a tell a friend about this software feature, send diagnosis and cure to a customer button, and be encrypted in a way from any hacking or copying of our software protecting it from replicators the best way possible unless admin access is available.
The software should also be available online as well on our primary site [url removed, login to view] which is where we could edit and build on from and where the software could pull updates from as updates become available.
