Simple Image Processing - Motion Detection

I require a program that keeps track of objects in a webcam and stores to a database how long that object was in the webcam view. The database table should have the following fields: Object_id - unique object indentifer Start_Date ??" date and time of when object was first indentified Stop_Date ??" date and time of when object left the webcam display Duration ??" is seconds (Stop_Date ??" Start_Date) I would prefer the database to either be Postgres or Microsoft Access. In addition, I need a simple GUI that shows the webcam and on the left a list if the objetcs it is tracking and the date/time they entered the camera view. It is okay to use an open source API such as OpenCV for this project (it is a personal project). I would prefer the system to be written in Java. If this is not possible then I require an executable that I can run (note: you will need a place to set the database address, username, password).
