Two Cast Photo Cutouts

I have two photographs of a group of people. I need the backgrounds removed, leaving only the people on a transparent background. The final Photoshop files will then be used to drop the people onto a new background. This project is simply cutting out the group of people from the background. Both photos need to be done. I am looking for a high quality cut out so there are no strange artifacts. Particular care needs to be taken in the areas around the hair, heads, feet, etc. All of the steps or platforms that the people are standing on need to be cut away.
