Senior Architect <br /><br />Purpose<br /><br />The Senior Architect in Enterprise Services is involved in risk management for the practice as well as the entire IT lifecycle but is most critical during pre-sales, discovery and design phases, with broad <br />focus around enterprise, industry, platform and solutions. <br />The Senior Architect is responsible for providing customer guidance during product and services sales cycle. They will play a vital part in business strategy by providing internal practice management risk assessment and driving successful solution deployments by ensuring proper business value and customer/partner satisfaction.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />Quantifies the needs of the business, delivers an appropriate strategy, champions required methodology, captures/reuses IP.<br />Collates detailed designs, validates that the solution will work and is deployable/maintainable, and ensures the solution maps to the architecture and solves the business problem.<br />Shepherds project through delivery - attends milestone reviews, manages/mitigates escalations that impact/alter the vision of the architecture.<br />Participate in area account team planning to drive solutions/design wins by performing risk management for the local practice.<br />Growing the business through mentoring, talent pipeline development, and community evangelism.<br /><br />Qualification & Experience Required<br /><br />Strong experience on architecture lifecycle<br />• - Strong understanding and experience with the .NET framework.<br />• - Strong experience with the C# programming language and object-oriented programming <br />• - Broad understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies <br />• - Strong understanding and experience in at least one of the following areas:<br />• - Developing database applications using SQL Server /Enterprise Framework development<br />• - Use of Team Foundation Server (TFS) as part of an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process<br />• - WPF/Silverlight<br />• - WCF<br />• - WF<br />• - Web Applications using jQuery, ASP.NET MVC and HTML5<br />• - Ability to diagnose and correct performance problems.<br />The successful candidate must have excellent technical communication skills (oral and written). He or she must possess the ability to clearly communicate throughout the organization along with excellent problem solving skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to serve a leadership role as part of team. <br />The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience including expertise in enterprise architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementation<br /><br />Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
