Hi I am a database expert with 15 years experience in handling MS SQL databases. I have worked as DBA for large ERP databases and use to write and do performance tuning for SQL queries, procedures and triggers. The performance issue can be due to several reasons, it could be due to poorly written queries or lack of database index or may be it is due to the large number of records and complexity of the procedure requirement. So if the query is taking time due to a genuine reason then we might not be able to do much optimization.
