Hi! We are looking for somebody to create npc/objects/mob/boss behaviors and fix errors for a MMO game. This game is an open source game, its a mirror of the original game: WoW - World of Warcraft. The person we looking for need to know C++ and MySQL so he can script our world. Know the game itself or have played is not a requirement, but helps ALOT if know and/or have played it. What we need is fix errors of this game, for example, a boss that was supposed to cast a spell on players and is not doing it. As for payment, I would like to discuss, cause I never hired someone to do this kind of job, so I have no idea how we should do it, I mean, per hour, per month, per bug fixed or feature added, so please, send me a message so I can give you more details and you can tell me about the price. Have in mind this job is easy to done once you can work at any time you wish and all the things you have to do will be always small scripts, so you can get lots of things fixed in matter of minutes. Gonna wait your replies, thanks alot! OBS: I am just gonna hire someone that can prove he can do what I need, so will be some small tests before we go ahead.

Hi, I am the person for this job since I have immense knowledge of the game mechanics and also have good coding skills. I have been playing WoW for the past 6 years (private server only, FotLK) and know the bugs that occur frequently. Although I am new to coding for private servers, I am not new to coding in general. Been doing it for my Uni courses (MathLab, C, C++ ) and also have done some other work outside. I would like to ask you which patch your server will be and has there any work been done on it already. I have been worked with development of a MMO game server which there is no any source. it calls Deco Online Game and i reversed its client file(.exe), implemented all logic of server. Hi. I'm Manuel Carrasco and I would be glad to work with you developing wow content. I've understanding on how emulators work. I have experience developing for TrinityCore emulator. Furthermore I developed an anticheat for it. I would like to know at what version you're interested and what kind of features you want to get working. It is important to know that there are some kind of mechanics that are quite difficult to implement because of the current state of the emulators, sometimes it requires a major rewrite of the whole core. On the other hand, there are bugs like quests/AIs that can be scripted. Actually they may not are 100 % blizzlike but you can achieve at least some functionality. Finally, I agree with you that a test is required in order to verify your skills on this matter. I have no problem on taking it. In something that I have to disagree with you is that every fix only takes some minutes. If you are scripting a whole raid/instance and you want a real blizzlike experience, by no means it will take some minutes. For sure you will have to fix spells and understanding how blizzard glues all together (reading sniffed packets). If you are willing to script some events, you may find that there are several *low level features* that must be implemented first. They could involve understading packet structures and many other things. I really hope we can talk. Sincerely, Manuel.
