Write an iPhone application

I will not award the project to anyone that cannot demonstrate their past experience. First, a short feasibility analysis must be completed to determine if this project is possible with little effort. If this project is too complex, or not feasible due to lacking API's or other services within the data source, and there is not another efficient and reasonable method to obtain the raw data, then the project is cancelled and I will have no further obligations towards you. I am looking to create a locator application for iOS. This is not the first one in the iOS App Store and I will show you the competitor's product and you will tell me if it is feasible to replicate/copy this same concept using the same source data/feed. The application shall use the phone's GPS to determine my location, then, tell me the nearest target locations near me, by cross referencing my GPS with the external data feed. When it finds a match, the App will display the name, address, distance from me and other data, such as hours open. I will provide a final list of the data that needs to be displayed for every matched location. As a part of this project, if feasible, you will help me architect, design and IF APPROVED, finally build a platform on Amazon EC2 which will extract the data 1x day or 1x week, load it into a database, which will be made available to the iOS application. See attached Landscape diagram. Before the platform is built, I will need an estimate for the setup and running costs. I reserve the right to cancel the project if the run rate costs are cost prohibitive. Note: This is not a final solution that I have described, but my general requirement to have a platform as a service (PaaS). Consider my proposal an draft into which I will evaluate your input as a part of the selection process to move forward. As a part of this project, you will work with me to refine and finalize this landscape so that future projects can be build on the platform and leverage the existing services on Amazon EC2. Advertising in the application is a must and you should have demonstrated experience with iOS in-app advertising. I encourage you to ask lots of questions before accepting this project. You are not just helping me throw an app on the App Store, but you are helping me build a platform on which more Apps can be built on. Therefore, it is expected this project will take anywhere from 1 week to 2 months! Bid wisely, and let's have some fun building cool apps!
