The purpose of the project is to create a MS Access 2002 file that can store resume data.
You will need to first design a database schema in Entity Relationship Diagram notation. Once a good database schema has been created, you can then proceed to building the database. Once the database is built, you can then design the forms.
Each resume will have a number of attributes. As an illustrative example of what will need to be recorded in the database:
- The person's first name, middle name(s), last name
- The person's contact details (e.g. telephone number, e-mail, address)
- Academic degree(s) (awarding institution, degree level, degree title, awards, groups participated in)
- Employment (employer name, start/end date, job title, location, responsibilities)
- Volunteer work (volunteer organization name, position title, start/end date)
- Hobbies
- Interests
- Languages Spoken
- Presumed Country of Birth
- Presumed Country of Residence
Remember that each individual may have more than one academic degree (or no degree), more than one job (or no job), more than one volunteer activity (or no activity).
We will also need to classify the individuals into zero or more groups (e.g. High Potential, etc).
The project will need to be completed within 5 days of accepting the bid.
