REAL TIME ANTENNA AZIMUTH ANGLE CONTROL USING QFT.. The system is a Multi Input and Multi Output.(MIMO) SERVO CONTROL SYSTEM. This can be done on MATLAB by using SIMULINK. QFT (Used to design Controller and Pre-Filter) Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) is for robust stability, tracking and disturbance rejection. The constraints applied over certain intervals are sensitivity S (jw), Complementary Sensitivity T(jw), Gain Margin, Phase Margin, Resonant Peak, and Bandwidth. These constraints over the interval are satisfied in order to get good stability and disturbance rejection. High Gain at Low Frequency Low Gain at High Frequency Sensitivity must lie between 1 - 1.5 Complementary Sensitivity must lie between 1.2 -2.0 Gain Margin should be in the range of 1.7-4.0 Phase Margin should be in the range of 300- 450 Damping Ratio =0.64 for maximum response speed Peak Resonant Frequency Bandwidth BW= A) CONTROLLER DESIGN To have perfect controller its stability is assessed. Criteria is to find maximum eigen vlaue as Maximum stability is associated with maximum Eigen value. Steps are: 1 State space model of the antenna control system 2 State equations and Occurrence Matrix 3 Apply SVD, PCA, DISTANCE Norm 4 Test for stability using Nichols Charts. B) PRE-FILTER DESIGN It is a loop shaping approach. High Gain is the criteria to have perfect loop. Steps again are 1 Get Gain Matrix of the Amplifier in the control system 2 Get CONDITION NUMBER (Near to unity) using SVD, PCA and Distance Norm . 3 This is fed back for actual control of Azimuth Angle. Referring to above inferences a conclusion is reached whereby High gain, low sensitivity and larger bandwidth provides stability. The writer must write a code in MATLAB SIMULKINK first and then check for the result. LENGTH AND VOLUME OF CODE MUST SATISFY THE RESEARCH WORK.
