Qualitative Market Research in Libya

Topic Market appraisal of the events management industry. Target Audience The respondents we are looking for are stakeholders or industry observers who have a professional interest in the events management business, covering sports, leisure (e.g. shows) and business (e.g. conferences). To qualify for the interview, the respondents need to have good professional knowledge about the events management industry in Libya: sports or leisure/business or both. We need to have a good mix of respondents across the different types of organisation as listed above, though having respondents in all of them is not an absolute must. Research Locations Anywhere in Libya, there are no regional quotas. Methodology Recorded telephone interviews (telephone in-depth interviews). The length of the interview is no longer than 30 minutes. The calls can be made from anywhere; need not be from Libya itself. Sample 5 For sports events and 5 for non-sports events. There are two different discussion guides. We have compiled a database of potential respondents. There are over 100 contacts for Libya and most of them have names, designations, email addresses and telephone numbers. The client has approved all these contacts as being eligible. However, given the conflict in Libya, it is uncertain if the listed telephone numbers are still functioning. It is therefore perfectly okay to recruit off the list if you are not getting anywhere the contacts we have provided you. However, outside of the list we do need to approve the designations of the respondents and the company (website) they work for before going ahead with the recruitment and interviews.
