Following script should be modified to do the following: [login to view URL] - GET MX DNS entries for given recipient=... domain - check which hosts are up and test, if up hosts, support STARTTLS - if one out of all up hosts, support TLS, exit on first hit and return OK - exit when last host has been checked and non support TLS and return FAIL. - record status for given domain for pre-defined time in db to redude DNS lookups and tcp connections. DB stuff is already handled by script. should be no big thing do so some network voodoo and few connects, write data to hash...

Hi. I took a look at perl source code on github and I think that that code is good written and can be modified to accomplish your task. By default script is intented to stop handling email messages for the same sender and recipient during 60 sec interval. As I understand you want to make some additional checks including verifying tls support. This can be realized using socket Perl package. Feel free to ask any questions, also the price can be diskussed if this work will be not to hard
