I have been using linux since 1993 and I'm pretty good at it. Extending a partition is an easy task, though I really need to know what filesystem / volume manager is being used. For a Veritas filesystem (vxfs) it's really easy, for an extX filesystem it really depends... So can you share with me what is the Ubuntu version, what is the filesystem type to be extended and what volume manager is used? If somehow filesystem can not be extended due to some limitations, I can still provide ways to copy/move data to another filesystem. Thanks.
