Pitvit is a research platform to collect electricity data from solar photovoltaic systems. It is intended for assisting laboratory studies.
Pitvit is like Phant ([url removed, login to view]) in the context of being a data logging tool for collecting measurements from an internet-connected device. Pitvit is like PVOutput ([url removed, login to view]) in the context of being a monitoring live electricity data. As the name suggests, Pitvit is like Fitbit in the context of gathering data from sensors and analyzing the data (for non-commercial purposes, however).
Pitvit needs to be designed and developed from scratch using an architecture that is modular and scalable (perks offered for further development when other people like it and want it too). While services that cater to these requirements exist, such are either limited-feature, expensive or hard-to-configure.
Pitvit needs a REST API, a relational DB and a UI - ideally created using NodeJS, AngularJS, Express and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
