Our lead application is a web based business management system for the Serviced Apartment industry comprising Customer Relationship Management, Reservations, Property Management, Operations Management and Accounting combined with mobile and web portals. The following position is available at Res:Harmonics UK. The position is demanding and fast paced, requiring a Java / Flex Developer who will add to a dynamic team of 10 developers. Res:Harmonics is looking for smart, dynamic, and assertive employee eager for an opportunity to grow and succeed. This position is based in Birmingham City Centre, UK with travel to customer sites around the UK. Job Description - Java Developer, UK The Java / Flex Developer’s primary purpose is to work within the development team and at customer premises, delivering work packages and associated documentation to a defined standard. Responsibilities: • Developing solutions to meet project needs • Production and development of good quality application code and a test driven approach to development • Production and execution of tests to ensure quality using appropriate tools,e.g. JUnit / Flex Unit Skills/Qualifications: • Java using object orientated development techniques and frameworks, Spring Source, Hibernate and BlazeDS (4+ Years commercial experience) • Flex development using Flex 4 and Spicefactory Parsley Framwork with remoting using BlazeDS (4+ Years commercial experience) • MySQL development and administration (4+ Years commercial experience) Other Preferred Experience: • Use of Maven builds • HTML and JavaScript development using JQuery • Python development Experience needed: • Preferred 4 years + development using some/all of the above mentioned products • Experience of working in a structured environment and be familiar with standard development/testing approaches and terminology
