For Mac OS I am looking for a simple text to speech application. It must have following functionality:
1) A simple program on Mac which starts recording, stops recording and while stopping it saves the recording in a file
2) Once we have recorded and got an audio file we should be able to say that convert this audio file in text (speech to text conversion). For this feel free to use any third party api's (even if they charge that if fine with me) - examples could be Nuance/Siri (assuming they have public api) or even google speech api. So for this functionality the only this you are doing is sending a file to a server and getting back the text in real time. I expect you to do research on what api would work the best.
3) This one is tricky - you need to provide me a way to control this application which is on Mac from iPhone/Ipad programmatically. You DON'T have to write an app for this - just give me the way to do that.
So to summerize here is key feaures:
- On Mac machine Start/Stop operation for recording (through mic)
- On stop recording save it as file
- Convert this file to text using speech to text api
- All the above operations on Mac should be programmatically controllable from iPad/IPhone
Hello,
Most of SpeechKit are online voice recognition, I found OpenEars is offline. But there is a big problem that you have to train it, create vocabulary for it.

Hi,
I have done similar kind of project using third party API previously on windows. So it would not so difficult to achieve your requirements.

I have thorough experience in Java which I gained by working for one of the largest IT service companies in the world. I hold a MSc in Applied Computing and Informatics and a bachelors in Computer Application. I have 4 years experience in middleware application development. Once I received the actual spec/order I can finish the task in 3 days (given that it's a weekend). Thanks.
