Conception of an automated rod handling for a straightening cutting machine

Status quo: At the straightening cutting systems in the steel production at the production site, steel bars in different material grades are currently straightened from the steel coil and cut in different lengths in short cycle times (sometimes smaller 1unit per sec.). After cutting, the finished bars roll into a collecting channel and are manually sorted into gray steel containers by the worker. Task description: One or more conceptual ideas for automatic rod handling should be developed for the straightening/cutting machine. The goal is to replace the current "manual sorting" of the cut rods by an automatic translation (the ideas can be represented in sketched form). Note the different setting images in the container. (Note: the existing steel container is not set for transport -and storage purposes).
