Illustrate Artificial Life App project

I am looking initially for some background illustration to use for a flyer. The flyer is to publicise a forthcoming KickStarter campaign for an Artificial Life App. Eventually I will require more detailed concept art for the project itself and for the KickStarter campaign, but for the moment all that is needed is enough to act as the background for an A5 flyer. Bear in mind that this will be a background - will have writing overlaid, so needs to be light enough in colour to allow that and also does not require high levels of detail. The illustrations should be of creatures. For reference, see the Norns of Creatures or Spore 2. Probably more like Norns as the creatures should be cute, but please, some originality, rather than a straight copy of these. Other elements which could be included are e.g. Eggs from which the creatures hatch, clothing and other decorative items which creatures could be given as presents (jewellery, trophies etc), and designs for happy / sad and healthy / sick indicator icons. The style I require is simple sepia line drawings, so kind of the look of a Leonardo da Vinci notebook but not as detailed - more like first draft sketches.
