Civil War Era iPhone Action / Strategy Game

We're writing the 15th anniversary of the North American Civil War and have decided to bring back one of the all-time classics of the 80s to iOS with your help: North & South. This game is meant for multiplayer. X Arcade scenes: Capturing the fort and train can be omitted in v1.0. Results randomized. Summary: The project should capture the essence of the 80s game while omitting features that never were too popular to begin with and / or would make development much more difficult. Graphics and sound are to be updated so to appeal to audiences today and the control scheme needs to be adapted to make use of the features that iOS offers. We accept quotes from both individuals and organizations. Your prior experience is what counts. We expect good communication skills in English or German and updates at least once a week on how the project is proceeding via IM, eMail or Skype. Standard quotes without any relation or relevance to this project will be ignored.
