We need content coders who will be responsible for creating layouts and coding articles for our on-line magazine on a weekly basis. You will work with a small and agile team where every person makes a difference. You should be excited about making outstanding front end displays and taking your creations to the world. You should have an artistic sense of how the content should be laid out on a page for maximum impact. You must have a good understanding of positioning, layout, fonts, form-factor, proportions and color combinations. You must have at least an intermediate level knowledge of CSS and HTML. You must be comfortable with table-less layouts and be able to hand-code HTML and CSS, without using framework tools such as Dreamweaver. Experience with PHP and Javascript, though not essential, would be a big plus. Experience with Photoshop for manipulating images would also be an advantage. Must be comfortable working with a source code control system such as Git or Subversion. Please note, this position is for a web-developer and not for a graphic designer. You will be writing HTML/CSS and Javascript code every day to convert material supplied ([login to view URL] text and image jpgs etc) into real interactive web pages.
