Even before telling you anything about myself, I can just tell you outright that religion itself is what I consider to be the crutch of people who haven't yet been introduced to the scientific answer to things.
And, historically, that's been a pretty solid case (see that one time when the church got their theories proven wrong by a lad with a telescope), not to mention that wars fought over faith are in all cases utterly pointless, but tend to be some of the most bloody conflicts in history. Essentially, religion is harmful both to progress and the populace, while labeling itself as a bringer of peace. Do you really think that you bring peace by murdering those opposed to it? No, you don't; you get the crusades, a fierce war machine fighting in the name of... peace. Makes sense, right? No, it doesn't, at all. Remember how Nazi Germany was peaceful once? Yes, that was for eight years; then the final solution kicked in. You know where that went.
And if you *think* a book is right, you should confirm it with other books, and be very, very open to opposing opinions and the facts and data behind those. Don't seek confirmation for your opinion; seek opinions through the provided data and its validity.
Should I say anything about myself? Is it needed? In all frank fairness, it isn't needed at all. All that you need to know about me is already listed on my profile.
All it looks like is an attempt to gain advantages in "discussions". Advantages I will not provide to you, or anyone
