Database Infrastructure

Re-architecture the current infrastructure as shown on the attached file. The new infrastructure will include the following: 1. Global database will receive events from all entry points: Facebook, events created by users, scraped events… 2. City database (Seattle) will receive all Seattle events from the Global calendar. 3. Events Near You database will pull events from the city database and will only store the next 7 days’ worth of events (Past events will be deleted from the database) 4. Create a service that will monitor events in the global database. Every time an event is comes into the global database, the service will start, determine if it is located in Seattle, and then forward it to the city (Seattle) database. If the event is not in Seattle, it will remain in the global database. 5. Create a second service that will monitor events in the city database. Every time an event is comes into the city database, the service will start, determine if the event occurs within the next 7 days, and pull it from the city database to the event near you database. If the event near you does not occurs within the next 7 days, it will not be pull. *** Please ensure that all services are as independent as possible ***
