The site prides itself on detailed, well-written content that is rich with examples, screenshots, and code snippets. Core responsibilities: * Help produce awesome and high-quality articles about Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Programming * Write a combination of guides, how-tos, technical documentation, and troubleshooting tips * Closely follow written article guidelines and topic outline suggestions * Work with the content manager to refine your articles and manage on-time delivery Potential additional responsibilities (depending on your availability and skillset): * You may need to research additional information to help expand on an article’s topic You’ll be paid a fee based on the article length. The starting rate is $.020/word, or $20 for a 1,000 word article. You must have: * A mastery the English language (clearly a native English speaker or achieved a similar level of competency) * Have an in-depth understanding of VBA programming, especially with Excel and Access * Able to act independently using your own good judgement, when required * Have a strong attention to detail * Have no problem doing research and coming up with programming examples * Proven examples of how-to, tutorial style writing, written in very clear language Software you’ll use: * Microsoft VBA * Google Docs * Google Drive / Dropbox * Slack * Wordpress * (Possibly) Screen Recording Software If you’re interested, please answer the following questions: * Link me to example(s) of your best tutorial-style writing. If it is technical in nature or related to VBA, that is strongly preferred * What is your background and history with VBA? How much have you used the language and in what contexts? Hi I'm an Access, VBA developer with over 20 years experience. I'm purely Access VBA, I've focused my career getting to knowing VBA inside and out. I've created hundreds of Access databases over the years, I'm self taught so I'm familiar with just about every mistake it's possible to make! Having honed my knowledge, I can write some truly inspiring pieces of code. I'll be honest, I've never written a technical article before, however I do possess a very good level of English and my Access VBA is probably amongst the best there is. Code examples. I've written code in Access VBA where it takes a dynamic query, exports the data to Excel, creates a graph in Excel and copies the image of that graph to an image control in Access. The process is instant, as far as the user is concerned they are looking at a graph that was created in Access but with all of the features of using an Excel graph. The usr had the ability to change the graph type, apply filters to the graph data, etc. I've also developed with some and drop tech using code to make a form Opaque, then using it's X and Y coordinates as an overlay to the form underneath. The end result is moving objects around a form with left and right click options. I use Crosstab queries a lot in my Access databases especially when creating Dynamic data sets.
