I have one of these- [login to view URL] A high voltage DC electrostatic negative ion generator. I need to be able to accurately measure the current at the output to ensure that it can be used safely. I need an experienced electronic or electrical engineer who can measure multiKV currents in DC. I intend to produce a large negatively charged output across a series of pins or across a beam of metal to allow the negative ions to collect and act as an electrostatic potential to attract positively charged particles to it. However I am concerned about working with voltages in this range. I have experimented with 3kV for the same project using a smaller scale 5v input to 3kV output and managed to not electrocuted myself, however I am concerned that if I use 20kV I will be at risk of electrocution. The work can be completed remotely if advice is provided online as to how to measure this accurately and safely. There is potential for future contracts, as I am intending to built a product with a market in mind using this technology. If the professional who accepts and completes this project is shown to be capable and experienced, there will be an opportunity to sign a NDA and join my team. The product has been proven to work as a prototype and I am looking to scale up to increase the effect. Good luck and thank you for reading.

My credentials: I have a graduate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in theoretical physics, and I prototype almost every day. I've read your project and I am a little confused. I understand what you're trying to do, but I do not understand what you want exactly. I believe you are wanting someone to build a digital ammeter for you to monitor your current flow through your device? If so, that's easy. I mean, the whole project is conceptually easy. The problem you will have is in scale. The important thing to remember is that voltage doesn't kill you, amperage does. I, myself have been shocked with 30KVDC and lived. I took a good little flight across the room, but I did live. I would love to help you with this, and offer my guidance in completing your project (which is also reflected in my bid). I am already thinking of ways to help you make your project better, depending on how far you've gotten thus far. I look forward to hearing from you as this sounds like a very exciting project.
