Busy business professional is seeking someone who is a very good copy editor.
I send out a lot of emails both to internal and external stakeholders. Also, I receive letters and respond to those stakeholders in addition to typing memos.
In my busy lifetime, rushing here and there-being pulled in a lot of directions, I cursory read some of emails and letters that I send out. Although I try my best to proofread whatever I am sending out, sometimes there are grammatical errors :(
Therefore, I am seeking someone to proof my emails before I send it out. This would be as needed contract. Hours I would send you materials would be between 7 am- 4:30 pm EST. Please note this does not mean I would need you for 8 hours. Rather I would send information between those times. There would be some days where I would not send you anything.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or above
• Can adhere to confidentiality since you will be exposed to some intellectual properties in communication
• Skilled in English grammar and language. [MOST CRITICAL] Does not matter whether its UK, American, Australian or Canadian English.
• Can speak English, don’t have to be fluent but conversational
• Good understanding of business communication
• Pay attention to detail
• Very good Internet connection
• Can use Slack IM
• Able to MEET DEADLINES
• Ability to use cloud storage software such as dropbox
• Respond to IM pings and chats in a timely manner—some documents to edit will require quick turnaround and therefore quick response to my communique. I do consider time zone differences
• Able to use Skype if needed
• adhere to CONFIDENTIALITY
This is a long-term assignment with opportunities for rate increases and bonuses.
Please note that you will be given several skills tests, so I can gauge your proficiency. The interview process will take some time because I believe in making sure that this is a good fit for both of us.
