Database creation

Project: Develop a user-friendly, simple but comprehensive database of the collected documents to be used as a future reference tool. The International Water Association is developing a project to compile information about legal and policy documents. In order to organize and facilitate access to the compiled information, we need to: Timetable: Deadline for submissions: 21 November 2014 Selection of providers for interview: Presentation to IWA evaluation team on the 28 November 2014 Contract implementation date: 10 December 2014 (TBC) Background to the project: The International Water Association is seeking a database expert to develop a user friendly database that is: · User friendly · Searchable · Online or ready to be embedded in a website (please use as reference the following website [login to view URL] ) · Accessible through ID and password · Produces reports and stores documents in different formats · Open to users, so that information can be continuously added through input forms subject to approval of the platform administrator The information to be uploaded to the database is currently organized and stored in MS Access and Excel and is to be supplied to the selected vendor. Invitation and respondent guidelines: You are invited to submit a tender to provide a proposal to develop a database to IWA that fulfils the criteria express above. Please deliver your response via email to IWA representatives named below. IWA reserves the right to disregard any response submitted after the timetable deadline. Please include in your proposal at least: · Price · Format and specifications · Sample or portfolio of similar work you have developed · Time table Please note that the budget and project duration presented here are estimates. Discussions on the budget and time frame will take place with short-listed candidates. You are expected to supply all required information, or clearly state the reason for being unable to do so. By participating in this tender you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by IWA guidelines and instructions expressed here and in future communications with the vendor. IWA reserves the right to disqualify and reject proposals from suppliers who do not comply with these instructions. All questions will be answered on this website.
