We created our own Linux distribution for HD Interactive Television. With this system will be able to explore, download and play hours of video, text, audio and images without touching the keyboard (if that's what you prefer - power-on, and it works)
WE NEED CONTENT, therefore your assignment is to build articles and invitations for our project. Your texts will be addressed to producers and distributors of content that can benefit from our free open source project. These texts then have to be linked to or placed on carefully selected websites. Distributors motivated only by financial rewards, should be avoided. We are opening this to companies as well, but are more interested in non-for-profit organizations, film festivals, schools, and individuals that already have materials they want to show.... or release it on regular basis. Anything from weekly high-school report to City Concuil announcement is great. Our flexible XML-based playlist allows for virtually unlimited element combinations on the screen and as well can attract developers and artists that could use this platform as a new form of expression.

In exchange for the content provided, we will enable all interested individuals and companies with our free, open source software to enjoy so they can easily distribute materials and information they create. Initially we plan to create 50 channels of high quality video content that may be mixed on the same screen with images, scrolling texts, rss feeds.
We very much care about privacy and intellectual property. We want to help distribute video content but in such a way that each distributor is legally responsible for their own material. Each owner of content obviously keeps their right to their own content and releases them as legally capable.
We provide OpenSource software with Linux-based operating system that can turn most of the PC's into a SetTopBox. Each SetTopBox can be activated on-line on our website and subscribed to a single or multiple channels. Each SetTopBox then connected to a TV enables to view, browse and interact with content that it is set to receive. Our operating system can be even booted from a regular USB pendrive allowing to use this fascinating technology without changing anything in current, installed operating system. ISO-based distribution allows anyone to download our software, burn the CD and install to HardDrive or USB pendrive with no special technical skills. Using our website, each distributor or content producer can create their own Channels of content and set up their classrooms, branches, organizations with SetTopBoxes with only specified channels activated. Each SetTopBox deployed by the distributor remains under their control and only that user can specify what can be viewed on all the boxes in their own network. We do not host the content, all content is submitted in form of links to materials that is placed on already existing ftp or http servers.
YOUR GOAL is to create 50 of regularly updated channels that may have 5-10 primary movie elements all together not exceeding 30 minutes.
TASK: We need your help to establish contact with 50 organizations/individuals that will want to try our technology to distribute their content. This is an OpenSource project with free software that can be distributed to anyone that you wish (under GPL). You will have admin rights to our website where you can edit (default project page) You will have access to a form and database that will collect information of interested parties. Once the user signs up, the download link with further instructions are emailed to the user. You will be paid only for users that actually create playlists with content and they must agree to verify that they have legal right to distribute it. Technical help and assistance will be provided to anyone interested. We are currently looking at English language only but will consider submissions from all over the world.
NOTE: anyone with ideas on how to help us get this project forward or how to utilize this technology to their benefit, should bid on this project.
/CLARIFICATION/ - 50 Organizations/Individuals that will each create at least one channel. Each channel needs to have 20 or more minutes of content...possibly in 5-10 short clips.
