PR / Marketing Assistant

Looking for support for a busy freelance arts and pop culture manager/marketer/publicist. A knowledge of artist is a +++ Do you know what's up in social media? Do you know how to promote through those channels? Can you write snappy posts that get attention? Do you have an eye for art and design? Can you make eblasts and build newsletters? Are you organized? Can you research and develop media lists? Can you write a quick press release? Are you a creative thinker? Come work for me but come with fresh idea. Lots of potential for growth as I grow. Primary responsibilities include: Social media posting with a flare for tweets and status updates: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, reddit, Pintrest + Art sites. Updating docs and pitch packages on a google drive. Research and list management Creating eblasts. Some writing. Photoshop and Illustrator skills are a plus. Part time 30 hours per week to start, full time if we are rockin', one day per week at my home office in Silverlake and the other days from your home. Prefer someone who has been successful in using social media, has an understanding of PR, and/or has a developed art palate. Personal laptop a must. 10 to 15 hours a week will be dedicated to writing posts for up to 10 clients and then loading Hootsuite. Flexible but must meet deadlines. Great opportunity for someone looking to learn the ins & outs of PR, artist management and business development.
