* 10+ years of experience in deep embedded systems and have worked in a number of industries including HDD, automotive, industrial applications etc. * Extremely well versed with most popular microcontrollers including ARM and PIC/PIC32 (recently ported an open source RTOS for a client to PIC32 and designed the overall system architecture for the product too). * Have developed drivers and HALs (Hardware Abstraction Layers) for various peripherals including UART, SPI, I2C, USB (Host/Dev), Ethernet etc. * I have a few PIC32 development boards plus the PICKit3, so I can get started right away. * My code is extremely well commented and readable and I design it to be as modular as possible to make maintenance easy. * If you have any querries, please feel free to contact me. The only reason I'm offering such a low hourly rate is because its been a while since I've taken projects online and I want to add a project to my portfolio in freelancer.com

I have previously worked with data acquisition systems on NXP ARM controllers. The product was used mostly for hydrology and meteorology stations interfacing different sensors with SDI-12, SDI-485, MODBUS and mostly proprietary protocols using RS-232 or RS-485 as communication channels. The system connect to the web using a GPRS/CDMA based module to transmit the logs, retrieve the settings and send alerts through HTTP posts, emails and SMS. SD card was used to back up the logs in csv file format on a day to day basis. I have been working on this product for the last 2 years, maintaining the code, adding new features and new non-standard based protocols to interface the sensors. I have been working as an embedded programmer for the last 6 years developing device drivers, building new libraries, interfacing 3rd party libraries, and writing application code. As I have mentioned earlier, I have been working on data acquisition systems for the last 2 years, I feel I have the required experience to work on your product.
