Choose one immigration population in the US (choose Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Filipino, or El Salvadorian) and research explanations for their migration and, using the information you have learned in this class, and the possible difficulties they might face in the US. Analyze and compare two aspects of their home country versus the US, such as politics, economy, income inequality levels, levels of violence, racial/ethnic stratification, and discrimination. How does neoliberalism and globalization factor into this analysis?
CRITERIA
A well-developed thesis statement that summarizes the main points of the essay is required in BOLD lettering for the critical thinking essay, located at the end of the introduction paragraph.
5 pages of content (does not include title page, abstract or reference page)
Double-spaced, 12pt. font, left 1” margins

Reference page required with at least 5 references – 3 of which must come from outside course required readings.
Sources must be credible, peer-reviewed academic sources.
