Non-Profit Animal Rescue Petition Statement/Article

We are a non-profit farm animal rescue group in the State of New York. We are currently under attack because of bias town officials because the directors of the rescue are homosexual and they are trying to undermine their reputation and present several attacks on their business's which have cost in excess of $33,000 in attorney costs. We are seeking a writer that may have some legal knowledge in regards to researching state and local zoning laws and help us fight back and not allow them to selectively enforce codes that do not pertain. We are located in the State of New York, the Town of Fayette, County of Seneca. We are licensed and regulated as a rescue in the State of New York, as state supersedes county regulations. Our tax code we are registered in is AR (Agriculture/Residential). We have received a summons to appear to answer to a violations that the compliant is the Town Code Enforcement which is against homosexuals and we are not like the rest of the town that was born and raised here. We need to write a powerful message to present on [login to view URL] to start a petition and send the letter you write to our congress and town supervisor to get them to stop interfering and allow us continue our support to this community that so desperately needs us. We want to hold accountable Robert J. Steel code enforcement of Town of Fayette, County of Seneca for making a false written statement in February of 2014 claiming that he was present to observe animals on the property which were not. We were advised by Chad Haviland the Senior Code Enforcement Officer of Seneca County that we did not need any building permits as we are a farm and in within the agriculture district. Robert J. Steele in his statement that 12 building where built without land use permits, which we were told were not required! See the complaint attached to help rebuttal what he is saying. Mr. Steele failed to observe Goats, Sheep, Alpacas, Pigs, and not 1 donkey but there is 2 donkeys, if in fact he was present on the property in 4 feet of snow in February 2014 he would of been able to make a true statement which in fact he did not. This issue has come about becuase Robert Steele is against homosexuals and was selling his produce stand which in fact he did not want to sell to us as he told us it was sold. 3 Days later he reported his ad online for the produce stand for sale and we had sent a female employee to go purchase it. We acquired it for even less $200.00 than he was asking. He drives by our rescue daily to go to work and seen the stand on our property and put two and two together. Now he wants revenge and using his abuse of authority powers to try to shut our rescue down and our farm which supports the rescue financially. Not only is he hurting the animals, but the community and the many kids we impact! The following violations he is claiming is: Section 500 of the Town of Fayette Land Use Regulations Section 810 of the Town of Fayette Land Use Regulations Section 820 of the Town of Fayette Land Use Regulations Section 301 of the Town of Fayette Land Use Regulations Dimensional Requirements Table He does not realized we hold DEC Licensing to have these animals, we are Inspected by the state under NPIP for Poultry (National Poultry Improvement Program) and that we also hold a Domestic Animal Heath Permit which is regulated by the state, and we have passed every inspection. They have no complaints to how many animals we have on our property as we have more than enough space on 1.30 acres. STATE SUPERSEDES COUNTY and we need to find rights and right to farm to rebuttal his attack. We do not have enough funding to bid high, Please just help make a difference and give us a fair bid and a powerful letter with facts to help show these people he is deceptive. Also; there is a total more than 48+ road side stands that are in violation of distance from the road away and that cars back onto state highways and county roads from their roadside stands.
